The advent of Digital Economy has opened space for technology-driven innovations of traditional business models. The successful innovations are usually presented as the product of an entrepreneur’s insight, imagination, and intuition—something not amenable to principled analysis and design. In this talk, I will discuss to what extent the process of business design can be modeled and optimized as a decision problem and how an external analyst can help increase the value of an innovative project portfolio.
