On June 16, 2015, the Czech Technical University awarded Prof. Jan Flusser the Felber Medal for his outstanding achievements in research and teaching.
Předseda Akademie věd ČR udělil na základě doporučení komise prémii Otto Wichterleho pro rok 2015 mladým nadějným vědeckým pracovníkům AV ČR. Mezi oceněnými je také Kamil Dedecius z oddělení Adaptivních systémů, UTIA.
Jan Kotera, Ph.D. student z oddělení zpracování obrazu (ZOI), obdržel cenu Best Student Paper na konferenci IS&T/SPIE Electronic Imaging 2015 - Digital Photography and Mobile Imaging XI v San Franciscu, USA, za příspěvek "Blind Deconvolution of images with model discrepancies using maximum a posteriori estimation with heavy tailed priors". Spoluautorem je Filip Šroubek, taktéž ze ZOI.
Odborná porota 7. celoškolského ročníku Rektorysovy soutěže v aplikované matematice pořádaněho Katedrou matematiky, FSv ČVUT, udělila 1. místo Ondřejovi Tichému z oddělení Adaptivních systémů za práci "On Sparsity in Bayesian Blind Source Separation for Dynamic Medical Imaging".
Ředitel ústavu předal diplomy vítězům soutěže o nejlepší publikaci roku 2014.

In the year 2014 the President of the Academy of Sciences of the CR granted The Otto Wichterle Award to promising young scientists of the ASCR on the recommendations of the Jury for granting The Otto Wichterle Award to PhDr. Ladislav Kristoufek, Ph.D. from Econometric department of the Institute of Information Theory and Automation.

Paper, On the computation of relaxed pessimistic solutions to MPECs, by Michal Červinka and Jiří Outrata (ÚTIA AV ČR), co-authored by Ctirad Matonoha (ÚI AV ČR) has been included in an Editor’s Choice selection of articles for Optimization Methods and Software.
Pracovníci našeho ústavu RNDr. Vlasta Kaňková, CSc., Prof. Ing. Pavel Pudil, DrSc. a Ing. Karel Sladký, CSc. oslavují v r. 2014 úctyhodné jubileum – 50 let nepřetržitého pracovního poměru v ÚTIA. Dne 24. 3. jim ředitel k této „zlaté svatbě s ústavem“ předal pamětní listy, poděkoval jim za jejich dlouholetou práci a popřál jim mnoho zdraví a životní energie do dalších let.
